Free eBooks at WOWIO November 29, 2007, 3:16 pm | eBooks and eReaders One of the best sites online - if you love to read. Lots of books in PDF format, and not all are old public domain texts. As an avid reader, I think WOWIO is a fantastic resource. In fact, I currently use them exclusively for my e-reading material. Sign up is easy, and you are allowed to download 3 books per day. It used to be 5 books per day - but 3 free books a day is still great. These are not just run-of-the-mill public domain works. There are contemporary authors, and books from publishers like Oxford University Press. And they have a great collection of comics, logic and puzzle ebooks, and many other genres. The books are sponsored by different advertisers, and one of the first pages has a full page, non-intrusive ad for that sponsor. Being bombarded by Internet ads all day, this type of advertising is actually refreshing. I even look at the ad, and will certainly consider the advertiser when I make a purchase. They allow you to place books you want into a personal download queue, so even if you want 100 books all you have to do is add them to your account and the queue will hold them for you. You can sort the ebooks in the queue, and begin downloading your new collection 3 at a time. The eBook is for your use only, and they even add your name to the front cover. I highly recommend the site (wowio.com). I have it set as a link on my browser and go there just about every day.
